J. Benjamin Druskin makes his home in Minneapolis, devoting much of his time to the musical arts. In 1994, he received his B.A. in Music from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, with a concentration in music theory, and upon graduation, he moved to the East Coast to study acting with the National Shakespeare Conservatory. His studies in New York deepened his interest in music literature, and he returned to Minneapolis briefly to study 19th Century Chromaticism before moving to Los Angeles to pursue the opportunity to work with En Vogue in production of their 3rd album: EV3. Fascinated by digital audio production, he came back to the Twin Cities, this time for good, to nurture his passion for composing and simultaneously embrace the digital arts of music, completing his coursework in Audio Engineering at the Minneapolis Community & Technical College in 2012. This will be Ben's first experience performing songs at Butter Bakery Cafe, and the material will reflect a span of many years of song-craft in the making.
