MN350 LETTER WRITING event

  • Butter Bakery Cafe 3700 Nicollet Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55409 United States (map)

It’s time to stand with Standing Rock!

Grassroots organizers from the Cheyenne River and Standing Rock Sioux Tribes are asking for as many allies as possible to submit comments against the Army Corps of Engineers’ Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Dakota Access Pipeline’s crossing of the Missouri River. The EIS is woefully inadequate for many reasons, among them that it was drafted by a dues paying member of the American Petroleum Institute!

The Army Corps of Engineers is prioritizing unique comments that directly address the content of the Environmental Impact Statement. That’s why we’re asking you to come to a comment writing session where we’ll have the support available to ensure all submitted comments have the largest possible impact. We’re meeting up on Saturday, December 2nd from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Butter Bakery. Come for great coffee, an award winning biscuit sandwich, and solidarity with other activists fighting for Indigenous rights and a livable planet.
