Artist Statement

I was born in South Minneapolis. I graduated from DeLaSalle High School. After high school I attended Marist College studying Business Administration. I quickly learned that was not the path for me and I realized my affinity for design and making. I am now studying fine art at Minneapolis College of Art & Design. I make furniture, sculptures, paintings and other visual works. I haven’t figured out why yet but I like working with heavy materials, strong colors and bold shapes. My favorite mediums are wood and heavy acrylic paint.
