We are a locally owned business rooted in Southwest Minneapolis since 2006 and deeply committed to producing not only good food, but also good community in the Lyndale and Kingfield neighborhoods. In our new home on Nicollet Avenue, we've partnered with Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, a local non-profit working to end homelessness, in giving the youth at Nicollet Square job experience. We serve "extraordinarily ordinary" food at Butter – no fancy pants stuff, just your favorites, all made from scratch right here. Come early to snag a buttery pastry, or later for breakfast, lunch, a light dinner, or a treat. Luckily for you, our kitchen is open from 8 am till 8 pm (3 pm on Sundays), and we've got good stuff for the kiddies too. Check out our menu.

We Wear Our Hearts on Our...Windows
We believe that as a small business we can make the world a better place, and we placed our goals on our restaurant windows for all to see. We support other small and local businesses and efforts to grow the power of Main St., USA. We have set a goal to send nothing to the landfill or the garbage burner - choosing to compost and recycle instead. We contribute directly to the local urban and rural food economies.
